Are your students struggling to relate to historical concepts? Does the utilization of primary documents sound daunting? Educators will the have opportunity to explore various ways of implementing primary resources in their classroom. This session will provide strategies to cater to diverse learners. Within this session, participants will learn strategies for analyzing political cartoons, writing across the curriculum, annotating text, and using primary sources to validate secondary sources.The instructors will provide research-based strategies, guided practice, and student work samples. These strategies will improve student engagement, foster an enriching yet challenging classroom environment, and improve nonfiction reading comprehension skills.
